Well, lessee. Yahoo is a public-owned company. If they decide to take a stand and draw a line in the sand that says, no, what you ask us to do is immoral and violates our deepest principles, then they get kicked out of China and the stockholders sue the corporation for not being fiduciarily (is that a word?) responsible.
Principles are fine until money is on the line. It's not just Yahoo. Every company in every country in the world will happily dispense with principles if it means more pfennigs.
In fact, corporations are legally considered people in most ways. So it's probably best to think of Yahoo, and every other corporation, as amoral, powerful children who will do anything for candy.
And they run the world!

Amazing how individuals scare China and how companies will just bend over backwards for profits in the next big market.
