PA seem to have the most problems in the morning, presumably while they are updating content. I've found that if I just wait until the afternoon to get my PA fix, it's usually working by then.

I agree Joe that it's strange that they've let it go on for so long.

The site is often just plain down. Or only the comic will be down. Or it will redirect you incorrectly (like its doing right now for instance). Or it will give you an internal server error. I actually don't think there's been a single week gone by since the "upgrade" where it hasn't had downtime just that I have noticed.

I only complain because I volunteered to fix it for them (I do this stuff for a living), and have spoken to two other people who have also offered to fix it for them, and they don't want it fixed (presumably because it might offend their friend/relative/whatever who made the mess). I'm hoping that with enough public whining they will give in and let someone fix it.

I'm kind of confused about Joe's comments, as I don't think I've seen PA's site down in the last month at least. I completely randomly stumbled upon the old Jim comic (seriously) on Wednesday, and was a bit freaked out.

I also noticed that his shirt -used- to be a d12, and is now a d20. Talk about undead upgrades. ::shoots self in face::

In my day, penny arcade's site worked more than 10-15 minutes a week. No wait, I am lying, that never happened. I'd make a joke about how they should get the least reliable site on the internet to host their stuff as a big improvement, but I think they are that site.
