So who’s copying who now?

Also, somebody seems to be over-compensating. (His mount is a Corvette dontchaknow.)

While I definitely agree, I feel compelled to point out that that piece for WoW is taken from older art done for Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne years ago. It’s definitely inspired by LotR, but not specifically LotR: online.

yeah I can see your point…
but we (WoW) have glowy eyes! and SKULLS on our armor now!
that’ll be the next enchanter’s recipe….
[Pattern: Enchant eyes Frostgaze]
and I’m sure that’ll lead up to
[Pattern: Enchant eyes Firegaze].
Apparently LotR already implemented
[Pattern: Enchant eyes Shadowgaze].
Soon spamming Mongoose in Trade chat will be replaced with “D EYEZ! D EYEZ! WTB Blue glow over teh eyez!!1!!1″
And the only reason why his mount is a corvette is because he’s in his midlife crisis er somethin!
errmm…ya….I think I’m playing too much WoW lately….too much for a 30 year old anyways

But yeah, that’s art of Arthas from Frozen Throne, you’re really grasping at straws on this one Amber.

I didn’t realize it was old stock art, but this actually makes the whole “LoTRO is just a clone of WoW” argument even more ironic and silly, dontchathink?

It’s a nice battle of who copied who here. Maybe all artists have the same vision for a helmet.
WC III was out 01/07/2003. Return of the King was out 17/12/2003.
The image of Arthas sitting on the Frozen Throne is less detailed then the Wrath of the Lich King main image but overall it’s still the same helmet (the middle top thing of the helmet looks different though)
I’m not a Lord of the Rings movie expert, but I think it was the first time we saw that helmet ?
I dunno … I’ll go with “no comments” on this one : )
